The Duchess prefers bright indirect light. My suggestion is to keep your monstera close to an east-facing window. Please note that during the colder months, you must monitor your plant’s warmth. If you are to place near a window, make sure no cold drafts are hitting your plant. I have covered the corners of my windowsill with blankets since Chicago apartments rarely have decent window ventilation. Also, to receive adequate lighting during the colder months, one may consider purchasing a grow light lamp. I have purchased one from soletch solutions. I have the plant about 45 inches away from the grow lamp and she receives 10 hours of light each day.
