tricks to help maintain indoor rosemary

Let me spare you the time and money with the tricks I've learned to keep your herb alive.

Thank you for not giving up! Mistakes happen!

Rosemary is probably one of my hardest herbs to care for, but my go-to cooking seasoning!

Pictured above is my second attempt at trying to succesully care for this Mediterranean plant. I’ll never forget the disappointment I experienced during my first time of growing rosemary. I brought my beautiful potted rosemary inside, only to have it die within 2 weeks. Growing it outside was extremely easy, so I figured it would be similar indoors. I was mistaken! Within 2 weeks of caring for it indoors, my rosemary plant experienced root rot…

After much research, let me share what I learned so it won’t happen to you!

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Rosemary needs full sun. Preferably a south-facing window.

WATERING

Indoors ONLY, water the soil every two weeks (if the soil is dry), and make sure it has proper drainage.

Use a spray bottle every day to water its leaves

SOIL

A sandy cactus soil blend works best for planting

PAINTBRUSH

(Optional) Use a paintbrush to get rid of dirt or any other dust on its leaves.
